Besides pumpkin, apple recipes are a must make for fall. Does anything smell better than a house filled with the aroma of apples and cinnamon? I don't think anything can beat the smell of an apple crisp baking.
This cinnamon apple bread is packed with diced apples and cinnamon. The key to a moist quick bread is the addition of buttermilk. But because buttermilk is acidic you can't forget to add the baking soda.
I use buttermilk in my chocolate chip banana bread as well.
It's a quick recipe to prepare, you only use one bowl to mix everything together and takes just over an hour to bake.
