The same cinnamon honey butter that I serve this pumpkin pie loaf with.
It's totally optional but I highly recommend it!
How To Make Pumpkin French Toast
Make the Batter. Add the eggs to a shallow bowl and use a fork until totally mixed. Add in the half and half, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and pinch of salt. Stir until combined.
Heat the Pan. Heat a pan over medium/low heat. Once the pan is to temperature melt some butter on it and spread it around.
Making the French Toast. Dip a piece of brioche bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides well, hold it above the bowl and let the excess drip off.
Put the french toast on the hot buttered pan. Repeat until you've filled up the pan, make sure not to crowd the pieces.
Watch the French toast, if the first side is getting dark too fast turn the heat down. Flip when the first side is golden. The French toast is done when its cooked throughout.
To make the cinnamon honey butter stir together very soft butter, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, honey and powdered sugar. Top the pumpkin French toast with a pat of cinnamon honey butter and pure maple syrup.
