You will want to make this pumpkin chocolate chip banana bread all winter. It's just like my banana bread recipe or my chocolate chip banana bread recipe but with pumpkin and pumpkin spices.
This is a really easy recipe that comes together in no time at all. The prep on it takes only 10 minutes. Baking time will vary from oven to oven. So it's instructed to bake for 60-80 minutes. With my oven the bread takes closer to 80 minutes to bake.
You could also turn this quick bread recipe into a muffin recipe. Just adjust the cooking time.
How To Make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together the mashed banana, pumpkin puree, buttermilk, melted butter, eggs and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl mix together the cane sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. Stir the dry ingredients in to the wet ingredients until combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour into a greased 1 ½ pound loaf pan. Bake 60-80 minutes. Rotating in the oven halfway. Check with a toothpick, when it comes out clean from the center it is done. Ovens vary so timing will also.

- 1 ¼ c banana (3 bananas) (10 oz)
- ¾ c pumpkin puree (6oz)
- ½ buttermilk (4oz)
- ½ c melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ c cane sugar
- ½ c brown sugar
- 2 ½ c all purpose flour
- ¾ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ c semi sweet chocolate chips
- ½ milk chocolate chips
