brown sugar walnut  rugelach

Rugelach cookies are both savory and sweet. They have a tender flaky pastry dough exterior and a sweet filling made of brown sugar, walnuts, cinnamon and a drizzle of honey.

Prepare the cookie dough, then shape into two disc shape, wrap in plastic wrap and chill 30 minutes

mix up the brown sugar, walnuts, butter, cinnamon

roll out each disc of dough

add a layer of the brown sugar mixture, topped with a drizzle of honey

cut into 12 pieces (like a pizza)

roll each piece up

place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet
